FULL SHOW: 4BC Weekend Breakfast with Olympia Kwitowski, Saturday 28th September 2024

Olympia Kwitowski

On the show today: Olympia covers the day’s headlines, including the recent dismissal of Broncos coach Kevin Walters and emerging details surrounding his exit. We also hear from local Chelmer resident Barbara, who tells us more about plans to demolish the St David’s Memorial Hall that have been greeted with community outrage.

Gardening is back for another week, and sees Paul Plant and Olympia discuss contrast in your garden. Paul talks about utilising colour to help give your garden a point of difference. Paul also answers your questions about robust tomato plants, suitable indoor plants for a nursing home, and how often you should fertilise potted roses.
PLUS Paul introduces his plant of the week: the Seaside Daisy (Erigeron karvinskianus), native to South America but adaptable to a range of soil types.

In the second hour; Olympia chats with Community Hero’s recipient John Knight. John has dedicated years to rescuing Koalas and improving their quality of life, and we hear more from John about how he feels about this recognition and what motivates him to volunteer for this cause.
We also hear more about the exciting world of Supercross! One of the most popular motorcycling sports and full of gravity defying jumps and tricks. Olympia speaks with Motocross and Supercross racer Chad Reed ahead of the upcoming event in Kayo Stadium where his son, Tate, will be competing.

PLUS: We hear from Andrew South of First National By The Bay for a weekly real estate update.
