The cost-of-living blame game continues

Mike Jeffreys

Mike is joined by Dr Tanveer Ahmed, Psychiatrist & Social Commentator, about the government still pushing the cost-of-living blame game.

The ACCC’s legal action against Coles and Woolworths is part of the broader cost-of-living battle, with public frustration and government pressure playing a key role.

While the government deflects blame onto the supermarkets and the Reserve Bank for inflation, a poll shows 51% of voters still hold the government responsible.

Peter Dutton points to high population growth, highlighting Australia’s reliance on duopolies.

This move against the supermarkets adds to the ongoing blame game over rising living costs, but it’s a small part of the bigger issue.
