On 4 November 2022, 4BC broadcast a report about a 41-year-old and his 35- year-old male partner, both of whom worked at a theatre company, and had been charged by police with sexual assaults.

Police released a statement indicating that “the majority of the victims are children” and “predominantly students”.

This was incorrect. 4BC was not aware of the errors in the police statement at the time of broadcast.

4BC wishes to clarify that the charges brought against the 35-year-old man related to a complaint made by a person in their 30s, and all of those charges have since been dropped.
