New research confirms flexibility is the key to achieving work-life balance

A study by the Master Builders Association of NSW and UTS’s School of the Built Environment has found that flexibility, rather than strictly implementing a 5-day workweek, is key to achieving work-life balance in the NSW building and construction industry.

Brian Seidler, Executive Director at Master Builders Association NSW, reveals to Clinton that, while many support a 5-day week, it presents challenges, including increased costs and potential project delays.

The study suggests that flexible working options provide the most effective path to a healthier balance, particularly in diverse, large projects, and could help attract more workers, including women, to the industry.
