Health Minister Ryan Park: Rethinking drug policy, not decriminalisation

Clinton Maynard

Clinton speaks with NSW Health Minister Ryan Park about the NSW Drug Summit 2024, which brings together health experts, police, families, and people with lived experience to explore ways to improve outcomes for those impacted by drugs.

The summit includes regional forums in Griffith and Lismore in November, followed by two days in Sydney in December.

While the NSW Government is developing a new drug strategy, Minister Park confirms that decriminalisation is unlikely, focusing instead on enhancing existing approaches and fostering collaborative solutions.
