The Fair Work Ombudsman has identified 44 fast food outlets, restaurants, and cafes in Brisbane that violated workplace laws, resulting in fines totaling $162,000.

The most frequent violation was the failure to pay penalty rates, with the Ombudsman recovering almost $450,000 for 365 underpaid workers.

Fair Work Ombudsman Anna Booth told Dean Miller on 4BC Afternoons, “There were 51 different sites in the event, over these four suburbs Sunnybank, Sunnybank Hills, Macgregor and Robertson.”
