Just days after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot on a New York City sidewalk. this dark fascination has surged online through TikTok videos, memes, and group chats, with the alleged shooter lauded as a folk hero. Troublingly, this fetishisation transcends radical internet corners or political affiliations.

Much of the attention centers on his appearance, earning him the nickname “hot assassin” online. Shirtless social media posts by the accused have only fueled this bizarre allure, sparking widespread concern.
