‘Perfectly suited’: Brisbane architect firm’s bold plan for 2032 Olympic stadium
Pressure has been building from stakeholders and major sporting codes, urging the government to construct a new stadium at Victoria Park for Brisbane 2032.
However, a Brisbane-based architecture firm has revealed a bold new plan for an Olympic venue, including a rebuilt 55,000-seat Gabba, entertainment arena, and pedestrian bridge.
Director of Hayes Anderson Lynch Architects Gerard Lynch told Gary Hardgrave 4BC Drive, “The Gabba has the history beside it, it’s in the right location, it’s close to everything, and it has the infrastructure.”
