A group of tradies has been hailed heroes after rescuing an 85-year-old woman whose house collapsed while she was inside. 

The collapse is reportedly due to heavy rain eroding the home’s stumps.

The tradies were working across the street when they heard a commotion and came to her rescue.

16-year-old tradie Reef Urqhart told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, “Once we heard there was a lady in there we had to help her out.”
