Health experts warn rise in antibiotic resistance could cause resurgence of dangerous diseases

The powers of modern medicine mean that the spread of diseases like the Bubonic Plague are well and truly in the past but health experts are warning that we should be mindful of antibiotic resistance.

Infectious diseases expert from the University of QLD, Professor Paul Griffin told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, “There’s a lot of problems with antibiotic resistance, and if that trend continues some of these germs may become very difficult or even impossible to treat.”
