Commissioner Gollschewski a supporter of supplying officers with tourniquets

Several key issues are facing the Queensland Police Service at the moment such as anti-Semitism, officers having to supply their own tourniquets and the case of Gold Coast business owner Howard Wright.

Regarding tourniquets QPS Commissioner Steve Gollschewski told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “If we’re going to put another thing on their vest or on their accoutrements, how can we put it in a way that they can access it really effectively and not impact on what they need to do.”

“We’re working through that and of course I’ve got to do all the boring things about costing it out and see what it’s going to be like.”

“I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure they got what they need,” the Commissioner said.
