Destination 2045: What’s ahead for Queensland tourism?
The Brisbane 2032 Olympics provides Queensland with an opportunity to shine on the world stage, with tourism playing an important role.
Minister for the Environment, Tourism, Science, and Innovation, Andrew Powell told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “What we’re trying to do is set up a 20-year tourism plan for the state, and we’re calling it Destination 2045.”
“It’s all about maximising that green and gold runway we’ve got in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics, but then embedding a legacy for our tourism markets, our tourism operators, for at least a decade after, if not more,” Minister Powell continued.
