Seven knee surgeries: Jason Kubler’s fight to stay in tennis

Peter Psaltis

Jason Kubler has progressed to the quarter-final of the Brisbane QTC Tennis International 2.

Mr Kubler has achieved success in both singles and doubles, including reaching the ATP top 100, and won his first doubles title at the 2021 Australian Open, but not without its challenges.

Mr Kubler told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports, “I just kept having some problems with the knees. I think I’m up to seven surgeries now with my knees…So a bit of a long road for me.”

“My last injury was in 2023 in September, and then I probably started, pretty much playing again in November last year. So I’ve only recently just started coming back then…Each tournament I play now, I’m slowly getting more confidence,” Mr Kubler continued.
