‘There’s no such thing as a villain edit’: MAFS expert discusses why the show is so ‘addictive’

Year on year Married At First Sight hooks audiences across Australia with its unique mix of participants.

Each episode rakes in over 2 million views, with last Sunday’s controversial episode gaining a whopping 3 million plus viewers.

MAFS expert, John Aiken told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, “There’s a lot of reasons I think why the show’s become so successful and it now goes into 120 countries.”

“It’s sort of something that’s grabbed a lot of people and I think one of the reasons is you watch it for the couple; can strangers fall in love? You also watch it because you learn what not to do,” Aiken continued.
