In recent years, many bank branches have closed across Australia. 

According to the government, approximately 36 percent of regional bank branches have closed since 2017.

However, Queensland Country Bank is opening a new branch in Maroochydore in April.

Queensland Country Bank CEO Aaron Newman told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, “I think it just makes sense for us to have a physical presence in that location to support the growth in the community.”

“We’ve had a presence there with a lending centre for the last couple of years, and it’s been a tremendous success,” Mr Newman continued.
