New study reveals biodegradable packaging’s impact on Australia’s littering attitudes
This Sunday is Clean Up Australia Day, where thousands of Australians roll up their sleeves and help keep the environment clean.
However, a new study from the University of Queensland suggests that the type of packaging used in Australia may be negatively impacting attitudes towards littering.
UQ Senior Research Academic and lead author of this study, Leela Dilkes-Hoffman, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “For India, the Philippines, and Australia, we actually see that which material respondents are being presented with, then changes their response about whether they’re comfortable with it entering the environment.”
