“It has slowed”: Tropical Cyclone Alfred landfall delayed into late Friday

It has been consistently indicated that Tropical Cyclone Alfred was to cross the Queensland Coast early on Friday, however, it’s now believed the storm could cross the coast later on Friday, or early on Saturday.

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “We were initially talking about late tonight into the early hours of Friday. That’s now been pushed back quite a bit, like pushed back into Friday and possibly even a bit later.”

“What that means is that people have a little bit extra time to get ready if you haven’t fully done your preparation” the Premier continued.
