Angus Taylor claims Rising Tide protestors are undermining free speech

Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor was interrupted by Rising Tide activists just hours after Peter Dutton’s speech had been disrupted by the same protestors.

Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “Everyone in this country has a right to free speech and to protest, I believe that very strongly.”

“Press conferences are an important part of our democratic process, it’s how journalists get to ask me and other politicians questions and hold us to our account,” the Shadow Treasurer said.

“But there are radical activists like this bloke who just don’t believe in that process and that’s bad for Australia.”

“It’s bad for Australians, it’s bad for our democratic process,” Mr. Taylor continued.
