The Queensland Reds have named Ryan Smith as captain for this weekend’s game against the Western Force.

Ryan Smith told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports, “It’s a massive honour for me to be able to lead the team.”

“I’m trying to make sure I stay within my job and do the normal stuff that I do for the team.”

“It’ll be nice to be allowed to talk to the referees a little bit more, but I’ll try to hand that back as soon as I can to the other skippers when they jump back in,” Smith continued.
