Senator Derryn Hinch takes a tumble
After a late-night dinner in Melbourne on Monday, the federal Senator fell from a car and was knocked unconscious.
He spent the night in hospital after being diagnosed with what he’s labelled as “slight brain trauma”.
An obvious assumption is he had been drinking, but Hinch, 74, admitted to only drinking two glasses of watered-down sauvignon blanc.
Senator Hinch blames a dodgy knee for the fall.
But as a liver transplant recipient, it changes the complexion of what’s occurred.
“Should he be drinking at all?” asks Chris Smith.
“He’s taken a precious organ from a dying person, to continue his life which now included alcohol.”
