‘I can’t quite believe what I’m reading’: Ray shuts down Australia’s biggest nark

Ray Hadley has been sent an extraordinary email from a listener who could be Australia’s biggest nark.

The emailer said he and his wife paid a $10 entry fee to watch a NSW Rugby League triple-header at North Sydney Oval on Sunday and were then directed to give a gold coin donation for their child’s entry.

“I was disgusted when we had to a give a gold coin donation for our 18-month-old to enter.

Surely children under the age of 18 should be free.”

But Ray wasn’t having a bar of it.

“I can’t quite believe what I’m reading. It was a gold coin donation, mate.

“That means you could donate a dollar, one dollar, to a charitable organisation.

“I think when you reflect upon your email – that you’re whingeing to me, given all the death, mayhem and things we deal with here, about having to pay a dollar to a charity for your 18-month-old – you might have another think.”
