Hyundai’s revitalized Tuscan range

The medium SUV segment under $60,000 is one of our biggest selling market segments– the best seller, Mazda’s CX-5 , followed by Toyota’s RAV 4, Nissan’s X-Trail, Hyundai’s Tucson and Honda CR-V.
My favourite is Hyundai’s Tucson just ahead of Mazda CX-5 and it’s just been revitalized with new style, safety and some more tech. Styling changes are inside and out and there’s a new entry model called the Go replacing the outgoing Active model. Four grades now Go, Active X, Elite and Highlander – and depending on model, a choice of three engines 2.0-litre petrol, 1.6-litre turbo petrol, 2.0-litre turbo diesel and either front or all-wheel-drive. Again depending on model, a choice of six-speed automatic, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic while diesel variants get a new 8-speed auto. Every model gets tablet- style multimedia with Apple car play and Android Auto – The new entry 2.0-litre six-speed Tucson Go at $28,150 is $440 below the outgoing entry model. I’m David Berthon
