‘It’s disappointing’: Barnaby speaks out on former PM
Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce says he’s “not happy” about interference from former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull.
Mr Turnbull has publicly urged his successor Scott Morrison to refer Peter Dutton to the High Court.
“I told you months ago, you saw this bloke at a time when you were having great personal difficulties. When in my view, loyalty would be everything,” says Alan Jones.
“He went out and buried you for his own benefit… now he’s want to bury Scott Morrison.”
The former deputy leader tells Alan “it’s disappointing” but it’s given him an understanding of why the Liberal Party changed leader.
“I’m not happy about it.
“First of all, he resigned from his seat when he knows we’ve got a one-seat majority.
“This is the team he led, the team that gave him loyalty and supported him.
“Then the next thing, trying to remove the member for Dixon, Peter Dutton. Why would he insert himself into that campaign?”
“I’ve told you what sort of bloke we’re dealing with, Barnaby!” says Alan.
