Australian Youth Olympics team departs with a very special mentor
The Australian Youth Olympic team is preparing to fly out of Sydney, bound for the Games in Argentina.
88 Aussies, aged 14 to 18, will compete in Buenos Aires.
They’ll be accompanied by one of Australia’s most remarkable Olympians, Chloe Esposito.
The now-27-year-old defied enormous odds to win gold in the modern pentathlon at the Rio Olumpics.
Now she’s taking on the role of team mentor, telling Alan Jones “it’s going to be a great experience for the up and coming athletes of Australia.”
Chloe also updated Alan on her own preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Games.
