Outback Cup keeps rugby league alive and kicking
Queensland’s country and outback towns have produced some of the biggest names in Rugby League but it can be a battle developing that talent.
In some towns the tyranny of distance can mean there are no local competitions for kids beyond the age of 12.
Some 500 kids and parents are about to descend on Charleville for the annual Outback Cup and former Origin great Adrian Vowles tells Mark it’s about keeping Rugby League strong in Country areas.
