A deer has been euthanised after being hit by a driver south-west of Brisbane this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Ipswitch Motorway near Oxley after 7am.

The driver was uninjured but the deer had to be put down.

The incident caused traffic eastbound delays which have now been cleared.

The Injured Deer has been moved over the barrier on the Ipswich Mwy westbound at the Blunder Rd exit. #Oxley, Expect Delays. Proceed with caution.
