They say there are only two things certain in life – death and taxes, but in Australia we haven’t paid death duties since they were abolished in the late 70s.

A team at the University of Queensland believes it’s now time to at least have a discussion about adding an inheritance tax to tax mix.

The director of the Australian Institute for Business and Economics at UQ Professor John Mangan tells Mark reintroducing inheritance taxes would be an efficient and equitable way to address housing affordability.
