There have now been a total of $4 million in penalties brought against the CFMMEU by the construction industry watchdog.

The Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC) says the CFMMEU makes up the majority of the complaints they receive.

ABCC Commissioner Steve McBurney tells Ross Greenwood the details of the latest breach.

“We have seen no reduction in the number of cases we’ve presented before the court.

“We have one union that stands out, they account for 99.5 per cent of the penalties imposed by the Federal Court, and the Federal Circuit Court, in the last 12 months.”
