A HUGE rent rise threatens the future of Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club
The feud between the Ipswich Show Society and Racing Queensland continues with new details emerging.
The exact figure that the Ipswich Show Society is demanding from Racing Queensland to secure a new lease for the next 12 months has now been revealed.
The Ipswich Show Society President, Darren Zanow, told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “…The Ipswich Show Society paid for the facility that they have, and of course for a long time we got nothing, if anything it cost the Show Society for 20 odd years. We think its incumbent of Racing Queensland now to put some money back into the Ipswich Show Society and Ipswich Showground…”
“…Very happy for them to stay, very happy for them to race but hey look it needs to our terms no because for 40 odd years it’s been on their terms,” Mr. Zanow continued.
