Donald Trump is preparing to travel to New York to face criminal charges connected to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
A massive security operation will unfold when the former president touches down in New York and heads to Trump Tower tomorrow.
The former president has announced he will speak at an event at Mar-a-Lago just six hours after his arraignment hearing in New York.
US correspondent Jonathan Kearsley told Laurel, Gary & Mark calls for protests haven’t been met with much support from Trump’s supporters.
“I’ve been in Florida for the better part of the last 10 days or so, … and the crowd numbers have been very small,” he said.
“You’re looking at maybe 10 today, there was six out on the golf course, there were 20 or so out there yesterday.”

Former presidential candidate TJ O’Hara told Sofie Formica popularity has fallen for Trump since he was first elected.
“His base over time, particularly with his participation on an indirect basis relative to January 6 turned off a lot of people,” Mr O’Hara said.
“The people who were perhaps a little more moderate but more concerned about the direction of the Democratic Party and were willing to accept his behaviour patterns, I think that base has eroded.”
