Mark Latham and Alan Jones are branching out of the media sphere and into the kitchen.

Today the two great friends are releasing their joint cookbook Conversations in the Kitchen, and it’s one to get your hands on.

“It’s a shame you can’t eat the pages,” Mark jokes.

Alan admits he hasn’t had much to do with the recipe-writing but Mark says there are some rippers in there, with the curries being a personal favourite.

“The [recipes] taste pretty good. My wife is my referee on this, she’s gone through the book.”

The book will be launched at 12:30pm today at Manjits at the Wharf restaurant on Lime Street in Sydney.
