Alarming figures show ambulance ramping rise in QLD
Shocking new figures reveal the extent of ambulance ramping in Queensland is on the rise.
The figures show that 42 per cent of all ambulances in Queensland are ramped, the worst in the country and a rise of 4 per cent.
Shadow minister for health and ambulance services Ros Bates says it’s not the fault of the hardworking medical staff.
She says they are seeing the makings of a health crisis.
“Today’s figures have broken records, 42 per cent of all ambulances in Queensland are ramped,” she said on 4BC Drive.
“We know hospital bypass is back.”
She says people have died waiting in ambulances, in the back of ambulances, people will die waiting on a ramp.
At the PA Hospital, the ambulance ramping figures soar to 67 per cent.
