‘An absolute pest’: AFP Commissioner’s unusually frank assessment of fraudster
The AFP Commissioner has welcomed the arrest of Australia’s most notorious fugitive conman, Peter Foster.
Commissioner Reece Kershaw commended the “great work” of Victorian and Queensland Police, as well as the AFP’s Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.
“He’s one of those challenging offenders,” Mr Kershaw told Ray Hadley.
“As you know, he’s an absolute pest, has a long criminal history, and … does a lot of harm to our community ripping people off.”
“I think that’s the first time I’ve ever heard a police commissioner call someone ‘an absolute pest’, but I think that’s probably the most apt description,” Ray laughed.
