Annastacia Palaszczuk fails to front Voice for Victims march
Despite the presence of several ministers to address the public during the Voice for Victims march at Parliament House today, a prominent figure was notably absent.
Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll and Minister for Youth Justice Di Farmer spoke with crowds about Queensland’s youth crime crisis, but the Queensland Premier did not make an appearance.
Ben Cannon, a leader of Voice for Victims, told Sofie Formica on Afternoons, “…Today to not have a face-to-face meeting with people that are emotionally and financially torn apart by this crime surge is an insult…”
Peter Gleeson said on Drive, “And for the Premier, to simply not show up, I think that’s unforgivable, that’s not leadership…”
