Anthony Albanese insists Labor’s tax cut plan will benefit economy
Anthony Albanese stands by his refusal to support the government’s tax cuts in full.
The Opposition will not support the $158 billion income tax cut the Coalition promised as part of the federal budget.
They are calling on the government to bring forward stage two of the tax cuts, targeting middle-income earners.
Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese tells Ross Greenwood the third stage of the cuts would not take place until five years time.
“The idea that you know what the economy will look like then, is in my view, irresponsible.
“What’s needed in the economy right now is stimulus and this will do it.”
