Australia has recorded record-breaking tourist numbers over the last 12 months.

A whopping 1.4 million Chinese tourists travelled to Australia, also a record 802,000 from the US and a record-breaking 311,500 Indian tourists have visited over the past year.

Tourism Australia Managing Director John O’Sullivan tells Ross Greenwood its due to a combination of reasons.

“Australia’s got experiences and an environment I guess that’s really appealing to international visitors.

“We’re a safe country, we have clean air, we have blue skies.”
