A seafood store in northeastern Queensland has been crowned the home of Australia’s best fish and chips.

Tobin Fish Tales in Townsville won the Australian Fish and Chips Awards.

Owners Andrew and Renae Tobin even catch some of their fish themselves for the store.

Fisheries Research Development Corporation General Manager Peter Horvat tells Steve Price the owners go above and beyond.

“They both have PhD’s in marine science.

“They’ve just recently bought a truck and now they deliver fish all the way out to Mount Isa aswell.”
