Basketball legend’s Olympic Games uniform auctioned off for bushfire relief
Australia’s greatest-ever basketball player Andrew Gaze’s signed uniform will be auctioned off to raise funds for bushfire relief.
The signed 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games uniform was donated to the Lloyds Auctions Bushfire Relief Auction by a fan who had it in his possession.
The Australian Basketball Hall of Famer was the leading scorer for Australia in many Olympic and World Championship campaigns.
Gaze tells Mark Levy any bit of money donated will help.
“I don’t know how much we will get for this. I don’t think Warney’s $1.1 million, or whatever he raised, is in jeopardy, but every little bit helps!
“Ultimately, the most important thing is to help those that have been devasted by these horrific fires.”
