Brisbane boxer Justis Huni’s home has been declared a crime scene after a drive-by shooting overnight.

Ten people, including heavyweight boxer Justis Huni were inside the Sunnybank Hills home when shots were fired in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 7am when it was discovered at least five shots had been discharged into the loungeroom.

Huni is due to face Joe Goodall at Nissan Stadium on Wednesday night in what is tipped to be one of the biggest matches of his career.

It is unclear if the heavyweight was targeted in the incident.

Justis Huni’s father, Rocki Huni told Sofie Formica one of the bullets hit near a nursing chair in the loungeroom.

“[If] anyone was sitting on that chair, either it would have got the baby or my wife,” he said.
