Bravehearts founder Hetty Johnston calls for royal commission into Family Court
The founder of Australia’s leading child protection organisation says she’s running for the Senate because politicians are refusing to protect vulnerable kids.
Founder of Bravehearts Hetty Johnston has spent more than two decades championing the rights of sexually abused children.
She tells Ray Hadley she’s now running as an independent candidate for the Senate in Queensland and will advocate for a royal commission into the family law system if elected.
“I am really concerned that our systems are not responding to children and I don’t know why.
“It’s soul-destroying to know what I know.
“They’re turning to drugs, crime… our current politicians do not prioritise our children.”
