WA Premier announces February 2022 border reopening
West Australian Premier Mark McGowan has announced his state will reopen to both domestic and international arrivals next year on Saturday February 5.
Travellers will need to produce a negative result within 72 hours of departure and within 48 hours of arrival in WA.
If they are double vaccinated, they won’t need to isolate.
International arrivals will also need to take a second PCR test on the sixth day of their stay.
Mr McGowan said the reopening date is “locked in”, but is expected to coincide with the state reaching a vaccine milestone of 90 per cent double-dosed.
80 per cent of WA residents over 12 are fully vaccinated, and 89.1 per cent have received at least one dose.
