Brisbane Broncos’ new recruit Brenko Lee will make his NRL return after calf injuries plagued his 2021 season.

He said he was happy to back and it was refreshing to be back in the Sunshine State, after leaving the Storm.

“I’m just really looking forward to getting out there and ripping in,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.

Lee said it was the “most frustrating period of his life” with his calf injury.

“That period on winning the grand final, playing Origin, I felt on top of the world and in a split second everything gets taken away from you, and it brings you back to reality and it gives you a bit of humbleness too knowing at one stage of your career everything can get taken away from you just like that.”
