Nigel Farage speaks with Deb Knight after landslide UK Conservative election victory
Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage says he played a role in helping Boris Johnson “win an awful lot” of seats.
Boris Johnson and the Conservatives are rocketing towards a landslide UK election victory and are on track to gain a number of seats held by the Labour Party for decades.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has announced he will step down after the dismal result.
Leader of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage tells Deborah Knight he’s partially responsible for the huge gains for the Tories.
“I fought a strategic campaign, I didn’t stand against the Conservatives in the seats they held, I took on Labour. We’re not going to win any seats but we’ve helped Boris win an awful lot.
“It’s a massive defeat for hard-left socialism. Hooray!
“After three-and-a-half years of agony, three-and-a-half years of the metropolitan elite trying to stop Brexit, we are now going to get Brexit.”

Senator James McGrath worked with Boris Johnson when he was the Lord Mayor of London.
He tells Luke Grant it’s clear the Labour Party have lost touch with the public.
“It shows the issue with the modern Labour Party… they’ve gone away from their base.
“They’ve become so progressive, they listen to Twitter, they have these echo chambers and they’re not listening to the mob who go ‘hang on, we voted for Brexit, deliver it.’”
