Brisbane Airport ‘nearly there’ for re-open of second runway
Flights could soon return to normal at the Brisbane Airport after flooding forced the closure of one runway.
It’s hoped both runways will be opened by the end of the day.
Rachel Bronish from the Brisbane Airport Corporation told Neil Breen teams are working hard to get rid of remaining water.
“The taxiways … were the parts of the airport that were experiencing flooding,” she said.
“We have opened a couple of those, there’s just a few to go.”
