Brisbane Fashion Festival set to be ‘a big one for our calendar’
The end of winter is officially here as local designers prepare to launch their Spring/Summer collections in King George Square.
The Brisbane Fashion Festival 2022 will bring a selection of local and national fashions to the heart of the city when it kicks off tonight.
Deputy Mayor Krista Adams told Sofie Formica the week-long event will not only showcase established and up-and-coming designers, but the city of Brisbane.
“It is a big one for our calendar and it is the first in Australia for the launch of the Spring/Summer season,” she said.
“An event like this is going to see over 2000 attendees in the next few days.
“It’s about driving that business for local fashion, for the retail businesses but also the hotels, cafes, restaurants – people come in, have dinner before and drinks after.”
