Brisbane’s oldest house to receive $5.5 million facelift
Brisbane’s oldest house is scheduled to be restored to its late-1800s glory.
The state government has granted Newstead House, which now serves as a museum, $5.5 million for the work.
The building will be closed to events, tours and education programs for around 18 months while restoration takes place.
