Brisbane’s plan to mirror style from New York and Singapore apartments
Brisbane’s CBD apartments could have more “rooftop greenery” and gardens in the years to come.
The Brisbane City Council has passed new planning rules to encourage more rooftop gardens.
“It’s the reality that a lot of the new buildings being built will be apartments across the city, as the city grows and so we want those buildings to be green and liveable, and to have great rooftop gardens and areas for the residents to enjoy,” Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner told Scott Emerson.
“We have seen cities around the world doing this, New York and Singapore in particular, and so we are moving really quickly now to make sure that we encourage more of this.”
