The Brisbane Broncos have pinched a membership campaign from the AFL, in what’s been described as an innovative drive to attract members next year.

The club has launched the We Ride As One campaign, which allows fans to buy a membership for the 2023 season with a $1 deposit.

Fans will also get to attend the last three games at Suncorp Stadium for free at the end of this year.

Neil described it as an innovative idea as the “Afterpay of rugby league membership”.

Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy says it’s been successful in Melbourne in recent years.

“First of its kind in rugby league and certainly the Broncos,” Mr Donaghy said.

“It’s worked very well in the AFL in the last few years, so it’s something we felt would resonate with our audience up here, it’s a great time to jump on board.”
