The Brisbane Broncos will take on Wynnum Manly for a trial match this weekend.

The Broncos have named a young side, one of them is new recruit Tyson Smoothy who says they are looking forward to playing after the pre-season.

He says it’s an opportunity for the young players to show the club what they have.

The new Bronco, who has played a few games for the Melbourne Storm, says he’s been settling in well and hoping he can be consistent this year.

“I just want to try and enjoy my footy again … hopefully that gives me an opportunity to play a few first grade games for the Broncs, that’s probably my ultimate goal this year,” he said on Wide World of Sports.
