Brooklyn subway shooting suspect charged with terrorism
A man wanted over the shooting on a Brooklyn subway has been taken into custody.
The 62-year-old was arrested in Manhattan’s East Village after investigators found videos online where the man allegedly discussed mass shootings.
US correspondent Harley Carnes told Spencer Howson the man has been charged with terrorism.
“These are federal charges,” he said. “Not because of any connections to international terrorists, as far as we know, just by the nature of the crime itself.
“Someone tipped the police to his location, that’s how they got him.”
